Weirdly enough, Fluke is a thesis project formed by two students studying Sustainable Urban Planning and Integrated Product Design. We are exploring how co-creation and co-design of public spaces works in practice, in the place we know best— Lappis!
We are incorporating a playful participatory placemaking process in order to test out more novel approaches to planning and design of public space, asking ourselves "What if there were more fun, engaging, and creative ways to participate within the building of our cities?"
You may have seen some of our happenings:
And now… Fluke Dayz! With Fluke Dayz, we are looking to get Lappis residents to reimagine some of the public spaces identified as having potential.
Together with the Lappis tenant association LOm, we are looking to implement this more participatory process through a newly developed digital tool, the Plato Dreams Platform. This platform allows participants to post their dreams, comment on others, and ultimately, fund which projects they want to see become reality!
Thanks to funding from LOm, we have preliminary 3000kr to make dreams come true by mid June. So once everyone uploads their dreams we will open up the platform to funding!
Because it allows Lappis residents to post ideas and help each other develop them into feasible projects. Through the platform's functions for co-budgeting, participants can collectively decide which projects to realize!
Does this dream comply with current Covid restrictions? Or can it be adapted in order to comply with them?
RESPECT IS KEY!
